Client liaison

The reason nobody here wonders what is happening with their loan.

Buying a house is the largest thing most people ever do and they spend most of it in the dark. This role exists to fix that: clients hear where their file has got to whether or not there is news, and nobody has to chase us for an update.

What the role involves

1

Being the first voice a new enquiry hears, the same day

2

Asking for documents once, in a clear list

3

Telling clients where their file is, before they ask

4

Coordinating between the client, the lender and the solicitor

5

Keeping the record straight so nothing is asked for twice

What we are looking for

You do not need lending experience — that is teachable and we will teach it. What you do need is genuine care about the person on the other end, and the organisation to keep twenty files straight without dropping any of them.

The hardest part of this job is delivering bad news early rather than good news late. A valuation that came in low, a lender query that will delay things — those conversations are the ones that build trust, and they only work if you have them straight away.

Tell us how you look after people

Experience in lending is optional. Tell us where you have looked after people properly and we will read that with more interest than a CV.
